A Power Animal (or Totem) is a spiritual companion. The characteristics and behaviors demonstrated by each animal species reveal to us our own powers and abilities. When we align ourselves with our power animal and call upon its archetypical powers, we can apply these powers or “medicines” and be more effective in our own life. Animals come with a long history of mythology and symbolism and their imagery can help us reconnect with nature and the divine that speaks through it. This connection gives us a higher perception about ourselves and helps us explore our own spiritual identity.
